“My name is Trish, taken as a 2 1/2 year old girl from Walligar Lake, I became one of the many children known as the stolen generation. I was placed in a foster home with white people. I lived an enriched life, I know within my heart being a part of white society has made me what I am today. I have got the world at my feet. Great education and stuff like that. But throughout my journey I suffer with the question of (who I am, where do I belong) I always go to my family and be amongst them and it allows me to feel even for a little while, a sense of belonging. What I say is, what doesn’t kill you, will only make you stronger.”
